I was born in Salvador, up in the hills of a small village, sitting on the ancestral lands of The Lencas, one of the oldest ethnic groups in the region. My father always had a passion for music, my mother was a singer at the local church, and around the village.
I started singing when I was a child, and started composing when I was a teenager.
My influences are diversed, folk, classical, jazz, Rock, latin, vosa nova, etc.
Due to the civil war, my family moved to Costa Rica, and this is where I started my musical path, as a member of Cayaguanca, a traditional folk ensemble.
then studied music at the national university.
